Guides - Pre Treatment Regulations

The pre-treatment regulations were drafted to reduce the amount of waste being disposed in landfill sites, and to increase the amount of waste being recycled and reused This in turn will help protect the environment by reducing harmful landfills and reducing energy from manufacturing virgin products. The regulations state that all waste produced by your company must be pre-treated before it is transported to landfill. Failure to do so can result in fines and / or prison sentences, depending on the severity.
