Skip Size Guide

Whatever you need your skip for, whether its for waste from a small spring clean or a large construction project, getting the right size is so important. From a small 2yrd to a large 16yrd skip we can help make you sure you find the one that is perfect for what you need.

Getting the right size can be tricky, especially if you have never ordered a skip before. Ordering a skip that is too small may mean you end up spending more as you ultimately have to order two and having a skip that is too big for you to ever fill is a waste of money too.

So how do you know what size skip you need?

Mini Skip –

The mini skip is the smallest of the skips. Its a 2yrd skip and holds between 20-30 bin bags making it a great size for your small jobs and general waste. The Mini Skip is often hired by people who want to remove general waste if they are having a big spring clean or clearing out their garden.

Midi Skip

The midi skip is a medium sized skip. It is 4yrds and is a great size for waste from kitchen or bathroom refits for this reason they are usually used for domestic hire or small building jobs. It will usually hold between 30-40 bin bags worth of waste.

Builders Skips

Builders Skips are between 6 and 8yrds. They are really popular for bulky waste. And yes, you guessed it, often the choice of builders who need to remove construction waste. You can get around 50-80 bin bags worth of waste into a builders skips.

Large Skips

Large Skips are the biggest of the skip family. They are perfect for all your large projects and things like household clearances. You will get a massive 100 – 200 bin bags of waste in one of these. They are between 10-16yrds.
